FTI to serve as Prime Contractor for PSEG Nuclear in 2000

Framatome Technologies, Inc. will be the prime contractor for refueling outages scheduled at PSEG Nuclear’s Hope Creek and Salem 2 Nuclear Plants in 2000.

This follows FTI serving as prime contractor for outages at Hope Creek and Salem 1 & 2 this year, where it carried out normal plant inspection, maintenance and repair.

In addition to serving as prime contractor to carry out inspection and repair at the plants, this year FTI conducted balance-of-plant work including replacement of the Hope Creek Emergency Core Cooling System Suction Strainers, and at Salem 2 replacing six low pressure feedwater heaters and two low pressure Moisture Separator Reheater tube bundles. FTI also performed chemical cleaning of the Salem 2 steam generators and subsequent waste volume reduction..
