Matching
the Evolving Industry
You'll see a variety of information in this EnVision related to
our expanding into new businesses, and expanding within businesses
we know. We are excited about this challenge as we grow to meet
the industry's evolutionary changes.
Our work at Crystal River 3 is completed after many
months of helping Florida Power Corporation restore the plant
to service. We worked closely with FPC to accomplish many highly
technical tasks, including designing, procuring and constructing
a diesel driven emergency feedwater pump and modifying the plant's
high-pressure injection system. These projects were in addition
to normal refueling activities (inspection of the steam generators,
reactor disassembly and assembly, and inspecting the control rod
drive mechanisms).
This past fall we also performed Electrosleeving
at Callaway, repairing 57 tubes with this first-of-a-kind process
in the U.S. Electrosleeve is a great option for plants facing
steam generator tube problems.
We continue to work to develop partnerships with
other vendors. We are developing new relationships with partners
in chemical cleaning for steam generators and condensers, and
with valve suppliers, and we will continue to develop these relationships
to bring a wider array of services and broader expertise to your
business.
In addition, we continue to enter new markets by
working as subcontractors on specific tasks in which our expertise
is unsurpassed. We have entered the D&D market by accomplishing
particular tasks as part of larger efforts; for instance, at Maine
Yankee we will spend most of the next year segmenting the reactor
vessel internals. We continue to grow our BWR service business;
this fall we served as refuel floor manager during Vermont Yankee's
fall outage.
We are excited about working to meet your needs;
your needs have propelled us into these new markets. As we move
forward into the new century we look forward to continuing to
work with you.
