Our success is measured on the successful operation of your nuclear plants. This operation includes but is not limited to, our responsiveness to your specific needs, our effort to help reduce your operating costs, and your asking us to come back the next time you need services within our areas of capability.

Overall, FTI had a great spring outage season. In this issue of EnVision, you can read about our successes at Hope Creek, Calvert Cliffs, and Davis Besse on pages 7-9, 13-14, and 10. We also achieved a world record refueling outage for a 3-loop plant at Surry Unit 1. We conducted the best outage ever at Turkey Point 3, recovering outage time lost by others, and performed FOAK ECCS piping replacement at St. Lucie 2 ahead of schedule.

We continue to develop partnerships to further meet your specific needs. Our continuing relationship with Master-Lee, for example, has provided FTI additional strength. They were involved in many of the outages previously mentioned. A new relationship is the recent Memorandum of Understanding with Entergy Nuclear to offer operating license-renewal services. This is an outstanding combination of extensive knowledge and proven expertise for nuclear power plant owners who need expert assistance in license renewal.

The challenge for FTI and for our customers in the future will be to match the industry demand for a higher number of workers in concentrated periods of time. FTI understands this issue and is working on a solution. FTI pledges to continue to build our business to meet your needs and reduce your operating costs. That is how both of us will continue to be successful.
